Double Standards

I have been itching since yesterday to finish this post but for some reasons, whenever I tried to write something to start off, I end up deleting it for fear it might be too overrated. Believe me, I tried so many times and found myself hitting backspace just as much. My oh my Judith, you have taken the words right of my mouth, or in this case, my hands. <laff>

When I hit the bookstore 3 days ago and decided to buy this book, I knew I made the right choice. They say, you never forget a first, which is exactly what happened with this first Judith that I bought. When I told my friend that I was reading this, she told me to read it as soon as possible. And when I started reading it, I didn't put the book away until 2:00 in the morning when my eyes are desperately pleading for its life.

The book has taken me into a roller coaster ride of emotions. I found myself laughing, crying and constantly pausing just to mull over what just happened, and then end up smiling afterwards. I applaud the author for that rare ability to do that to its readers and even if I knew the story would eventually end up with a happy ending, the subtle and intricate way of telling the readers how it happened was very well thought off. For years, I have wondered why some people talk highly of this author, and now I know why.

This might be my first book of Judith, but definitely, not my last

A must read.

Two thumbs up with a red nail polish on it!
