Food Trip Around the World

As promised, this post is all about my sister's birthday celebration yesterday. I realized it's been a while since I've posted a food entry so I'm pretty excited to share this one with you.

My sister decided to treat us to one of her favorite restaurants in the city, Bigby's Cafe and Restaurant. I would've wanted to try some other restaurants that we haven't tried before but then again, it was her treat so I had no right to complain.haha

I've always loved the ambiance and the interior design of the restaurant. It gives off a taste of food adventure all over the world. Even the decors that hang on their walls are a collection of the different works of art from different places. I swear, I wanted to get a hold of everything in there. And being a frustrated traveler, I was even more inspired to go out and see all these things for myself.

Mom was so funny she actually asked if they used coloring for the chips 'coz they were in different colors.hahaha. And although I was a little disappointed with my Mango Shake, everything else made up for it.

Pescado Al Fresco.

Pescado Al Fresco is actually a pan-seared fish fillet with pesto and I really loved it! The fish was very soft on the inside, super! And their Chicken Fried Steak was not bad at all. I especially loved the buttered veggies on the side. Yum!

Rack-a-Bye Baby.

And my all-time favorite was the Rack-a-Bye Baby. A tender smoky barbecued pork ribs that I truly can't get enough of! I am on the verge of drooling right now.haha. We also ordered shrimps but I only was able to eat half a piece of it because I was already too full and I still needed room for dessert. ^teehee^

When the cake finally arrived, I was all noses on the menu that I didn't notice it. That explains why I wasn't able to take a photo of the whole slice because when I looked up, my sisters were already devouring it without even telling me! They just laughed when I gave them 'the look'. grrr.

We had to take pictures outside just because I loved their window display so much! Reminds me how near Christmas is already. Gah, excited! Anyway, we all came home happy costumers. And our bellies agree more.haha.
