Clean up!

Okaaay, don't judge.

My mom almost got a tape recorder so she wouldn't have to tell me to clean my room over and over again. Well, technically, it's not my room 'coz I don't sleep there, but since I'm the one who almost always uses the room, so it's kind of my responsibility now. I don't know, it's like my go-to room whenever I'm undergoing my monthly depression or whenever I needed to be alone. It's my own comfort room, if you know what I mean. And lately, I haven't been cleaning it up, hence, the nagging mom. So I decided to get my butt off the couch and started cleaning up.

Before: there's even a stain on the wall, ugh!
After: well, the stain refused to budge so I just covered it. <laf>

Before: Can you believe I used to study here before?lol
After: yey! looks better now, yes?
I used to collect books and headbands before but I got tired of it eventually. Books are too costly now and I didn't know where to put the rest of the headbands so I stopped and dumped it all in this extra closet. poor thing!
Before: I didn't know where to start <evil laf again!>
After: Finally
This looks more like a storage room now. When my sister got married, they didn't have their own house yet so the gifts during her wedding were stored on the upper bunk of the bed. And I swear, when I went through that stuff, it was almost like a jungle. Good exercise for me though!

Before: everything is everywhere! gah!
After: Tada! At least, it's more arranged now.
I guess this is what boredom does! It tricks you into doing things you never would have done if you had something else better to do. But you know what? I'm sure glad I did it! And I pray to God, it stays this way for a long time. C'mon, I think I deserve a pat on the back, don't I?

One-derful!

My sister was a busy bee this past few days in preparation for my nephew's birthday. She was dragging me along everywhere and I couldn't keep up with her enthusiasm. Good thing she already has a car now so I could just stay inside whenever I don't feel like going. She even hired a party organizer for that day, which was awesome by the way. Oooh, that rhymed! haha.

This was the tarp the party organizer had for Gab

Finally, the cupcakes arrived!

Gab's cute and colorful birthday cake.

This was the set-up of the table with the party bags, prizes and some goodies!

Nothing beats Pinoy food! Lechon!
My sister and everyone else got so busy so I was the photog once again. I'm not whining though, I love taking pictures!
This had candies and goodies inside!

This was a total epic fail 'coz this was supposed to be Mickey Mouse but the head looks like
Minnie's with the eyelashes and lipstick on,  right? haha

After a while, Minnie came along, which had the same person inside, that's why they can't appear together.haha

They had games and pabitin for all the kids. Gab gets to pick first!
Tiffy and I had to meet somewhere 'coz she was not familiar wih the place. I invited Zhy and Yani too but they were too busy studying for their exams so Tiffy had to come alone.

Tiffy, my only guest, with Gab

We had ice cream too!

Birthday boy getting a taste of his ice cream.haha.cute :D

Me with the little birthday boy
I am in love with this little boy. I never really imagined me having a kid but this guy is an exception. How could I not love him, we share the same bed every night. He wakes me up in the morning and never fails to put a smile on my face. And someday, when he grows up, I want him to think of me as his cool 'tita'.  I hope you grow up to be a responsible, handsome young lad.I love you Gab

I do.

It's way past midnight and my eyelids are desperately hanging on for dear life. I'm sorry, I just had to post this.

I have always been of a fan of weddings. I think with all the issues and debates on teenage pregnancy and divorce right now, it's still very heartwarming to see couples tie the knot and saying their 'til death do us part vows. It makes you want to believe in true love again.

The couples' oh-so-romantic invitation
It was on a Saturday afternoon and I went to the wedding with my mom and two sisters. It was actually the wedding of my sister's sister in law and I wasn't supposed to go but I thought I haven't been to weddings lately and maybe I just wanted to torture myself again with the constant thought of my single blessedness.lol. I also thought this was going to be a fancy wedding so I just had to tag along. We even arrived late so we were seated at the back of the chapel.

I know I probably looked silly to the person right behind me 'coz I was desperately trying to get the perfect shot
of the chapel's ceiling. So nice, right?

A closer look.

And since we were seated at the back, this was the most decent picture I could get of the couple and their family.

Check out this vintage ring I bought just for the occasion.

The wedding ended at around 3:30 and there was still a wedding to be held next so we headed to the reception place immediately. We were the first ones to arrive at the hotel so I got the chance to snap some shots of the place without looking all ignorant.teehee!

At the hotel's lobby

This was the centerpiece of our table.

The stage where the couple will be sitting. See, still no people. haha

Again, I had to take a picture of the ceiling and I swear, this totally set up the mood
 for the place.

I took this a shot of the little flower girl who was checking out her reflection in the glass. SO cute!
There was still a program before the start of the early dinner and I swear, I was totally starving the whole time because I wasn't able to take my lunch. And it seems like God heard my stomach growling right just about time when the host announced that there was some 'pica-pica' or finger foods served at the back of the room. Thank God!

Can you imagine I was trying to get the food and taking pictures at the same time?haha. But yey! Chocolate Fountain!

Delish brownies!

I was too excited to eat this Mango Mousse but it turned
out to be too sweet for me.

This was the couple's giveaway. Parang Royal wedding lang ang peg. haha

Wedding Cake :D
I knoooow, I look fat.haha
I was so tired when I got home but when I jumped into my bed, I couldn't help but wonder how I would feel if I would stand up on that altar one day. Would I be able to say I do?

And then I snapped back into reality and realized I have yet to find my prince!haha

Great friends, good times, warm hearts

I have totally secluded myself from the outside world by locking myself up in my room for the past two days because of -er..work. And I miss my friends big time so I wanted to dedicate this post to them and to the lazy, hazy, crazy days we had way back when we still had a life. I'll warn you ahead, this is not for the faint-hearted for this will be a very long post.

I haven't seen much of them for the past months because of conflicting schedules and different priorities and I swear the things that I have to tell them are piling up like crazy.

I think this was the first picture we had together during the Alumni Homecoming
We call ourselves booboo or boo for short and I bet you wouldn't guess how we've come up with that name. Since we were in the nursing field, and maybe just got way caught up with all the hullabaloos of nursing, one of my barkada gave birth to that name, I'm not sure now which one of them, because of our blood types. Two of us have blood types "B" and the other two have "O". I mean, that is the weirdest way to come up with a name, but somehow, it just stuck and that's how we call ourselves up until now.

From left: Yani, Tiffy, Eden, Zhy and me
It's amazing how fate works because three of us, Yani, Zhy and Me were already friends and classmates way back in high school but we were never really that close, especially Yani because since she is the smartest and the most studious among us, on the second year, she was transferred to the honor's class. Meanwhile, me and Zhy were the ones who really got close throughout high school. Tiffy, on the other hand, was kind of the late addition to my friends because although I knew her way back in high school, it was in 2nd year college that we really got close.

We have this tradition of going out and treating each other during our birthdays and of course, giving gifts to each one during Christmas. Every time we eat out, we try to go to different restaurants especially the new ones that we haven't tried out yet, which explains why some of the pictures taken either has food on the table or food in our mouth.haha.

This was Christmas in 2009 at PJoe's I think.

We couldn't even contain the excitement we had for our gifts.

This was Yani's birthday at a restaurant called Rio, which turned out to have such a good ambiance and the food was very tasty but affordable at the same time.
And because Zhy is very passionate about cooking, we forced her to cook for us and let us be the judge of her work. And she passed with flying colors.haha

They also had an overnight at our house and of course, food didn't go MIA, always present.

We got all glammed up for the Senior's night in college and the theme? Vintage.

This was during our review for the board exam, and yes, there was a color coding for each day, which explaind the blue, black and green motif. haha
During birthdays also, we always ask the crew at the restaurant to sing Happy Birthday for us in front of everybody which was kind of embarrassing at first but we got used to it after a while.

This was me during my 20th birthday at Bigby's

This was during Christmas in 2010 with Benjie, Tiffy's long time boyfriend.

I think the next three pictures was one of the most bongga and fun night that we had. It was Zhy's birthday in 2010 and we decided to really dress up for that night just for fun. We even surprised Zhy by telling her that her boyfriend <insert rolling of eyes here> wouldn't be able to come but then in the middle of dinner, he just popped out of nowhere with a bouquet of flowers on hand. And the look on Zhy's face? PRICELESS.haha. After dinner, we also went to check out the newly opened Starbucks in the city.

There's this yearly tradition in our school every December called the Xavier days which is a 3-day event of no class, with fireworks, horror house and booths all over the place. The picture below was during that event and we decided to wear shorts, well mine is a dress but it's still above the knee, so that still counts. And BTW, that background looks like a fireworks display but it's not, it's actually a tree with a series of lights hanging on it's branches. I just thought this was cool.

Boo, I remember way back when we would still hang-out and just talk about our dreams and ambitions in life. Now, each of us are slowly making that dream come true. And though this may cause us to be away from each other for quite some time, I know deep in our hearts, we truly hope and pray for each other's success and I always try my best to catch up with you as much as I can. I hope that someday, when time would allow, we would spend time with each other again, just hanging out, being silly and not think about the patients we still need to care for or tests about each single cell and muscle of the body. Just plain fun.

I miss you three.
